‘The energy is just amazing’: Cuidando los Niños hosts Trunk or Treat
On Friday, Cuidando los Niños hosted a Trunk or Treat event, where kids at the early education program dressed up in costumes donated by Spirit Halloween.
They got to trick or treat throughout the building, stopping at each office, while also getting candy from volunteers in the parking lot.
People involved talked about how special this event is for the kids. “People are giving anything from candy to gifts to hats, gloves, mittens, that kind of stuff,” said Cuidando los Niños CEO Trina Jellison. “So there’s some practical as well as fun. But the energy is just amazing and with all of the different organizations that stepped together to take care of the kids. This is stuff the kids wouldn’t experience otherwise.”
The program is also running a campaign called “Cash for Cards,” which raises money so families at Cuidando los Niños can purchase essentials like food and clothing.
