Cuidando Los Niños follows a “Housing First” model, recognizing that families have a greater chance of overcoming adversity when they first have a stable home. Once housed, they can fully engage with our comprehensive support services, including workforce development, and family success planning.

Our rapid rehousing program combines rental support services to provide a multifaceted approach to stabilizing our families. Our client referrals come from NMCEH. Our city and federal funded rapid rehousing programs cover:
- 6-12 months of paid rent (case-by-case basis)
- Rental application fees
- Rental deposits
In addition to helping the families who attend our preschool, our department also supports families with older children in the community who come to us through the coordinated entry system.
