Volunteer Opportunities Available
Thank you for your interest in supporting the children and families of Cuidando. For over 35 years, volunteers have played a foundational role in our organization.
It takes all of us to help break the cycle of homelessness in our community. Give us a call, or email kylah@clnabq.org to learn more and schedule your orientation tour!
Individual Volunteering
Classroom Assistant
We rely on daily and weekly volunteers who read to the children, assist them with activities, and provide them with consistent and positive support. Typically from around 9am-12pm.
Organizational Support
Help us create a positive and welcoming environment for our families. This includes seasonal decorating, organizing the life pantry, and other help completing tasks to make sure family’s needs are met. Perfect for an individual or pair looking to make a monthly commitment.
Kitchen Support
Assist in the kitchen with the meal prep, cleanup, and shopping that ensures the kid’s access to high-quality, nutritious meals. Typically from 10am-1pm.
Group Volunteering
Special Event Days
From Earth Day to National Waffle Day, our community partners help us bring joy into the classrooms. Sponsor a day of fun with your group! 10am-12pm only, due to naptime.
Kit Building and Essential Needs
Organize a drive or kit building activity for flu care, meal boxes, or snack packs. Please contact us to find our most immediate needs and for promotional materials and images. Perfect team building activity!
Playground Cleanup
Help keep our playgrounds clean and organized. Perfect for groups interested in monthly volunteering. Afternoons only.
Skill Sharing- Share your group-specific talents or professional expertise with our community. From dance to dental care, we welcome all our community partners have to offer.
